Piccolo Ristorante - Everything is made from scratch!
If you google search for Italian Restaurants in Fort Lauderdale you will find hundreds. Most of them, in fact, with the same menu: your traditional "American Italian" dishes such as Chicken Parmesan, Veal Marsala, Spaghetti and Meatballs, etc.
But what sets Piccolo Ristorante apart? Well, it is Chef Andres’ amazing dedication to ensuring everything he serves is made fresh and in-house. From the start of the meal with the focaccia bread, to the salad dressings and each sauce, to the grand finale of desserts – it is all made in-house by the very passionate Chef Andres. While he does import some of his pastas to ensure consistency, he does enjoy making his own as well. Fans of ravioli should make sure to follow us on social media to keep up on when he runs a special; he also enjoys making pastas such as Cavatelli and Gnocchi.
He also regularly enjoys stepping outside the box and creating a variety of specials that you will not find in many other Italian restaurants in Fort Lauderdale – such as his most recent Duck Confit with Homemade Saffron Cavatelli pasta in a Carbonara Sauce with Toasted Duck Skin and Home-made Duck Proscuitto for garnishes. For that special, the duck itself took over 12 hours marinating and then over 14 hours slow cooking. Chef Andres’ devotion to the culinary arts is visible in every dish he sends out of the kitchen – each one is a beautiful work of art. As they say, “You first eat with your eyes."
